The Crows were struggling to get the ball into their forward line, and after the Dees recorded a behind Manalastas, Coronel and duRand locked the ball in their forward line where Scott kicked truly before four more behinds ensued and at quarter-time Naracoorte led 4-5-29 to 0-0-0.
