itravel Naracoorte

By Therese Oliver

When one door closed another door opened! After being made redundant from my previous Travel Consultant position and the agency I worked in closed it’s doors and moved to a mobile option 110km from Naracoorte it paved the way for me to open my own agency.

On hearing of this many of my clients were devastated and the resounding comment was ‘What are you going to do?’ and in the next breath ‘You should open your own office!”

Well here I am and itravel Naracoorte began trading on 18 th July. Initially from home I have now opened the doors of my office at 162B Smith Street on 9 th October. The itravel Franchise and Business model was a perfect fit for me.

With 22 years in the Travel Industry, having travelled extensively overseas and within Australia it seemed the obvious move to continue servicing the people around the Limestone Coast and beyond.

I pride myself on my great service, friendly outlook paired with the knowledge and passion I have to make your holiday dreams become a reality.

It’s been a busy time establishing my office, I have had tremendous support from travellers around the South East and also other parts of Australia. I am looking forward to creating a groups department and have had requests and serious interest for Japan (Autumn Leaves tour) and Kangaroo Island. These tours will depart towards the end of 2024. Looking for expressions of interest for both of these tours – seats will be limited and both will be very popular.

Tour groups have been a passion of mine. I have led many groups around the world including China, Myanmar, France, Norfolk Island. In recent years I have had the pleasure of showcasing Australia with group tours through The Kimberley, Darwin and The Ghan Expedition, Tasmania, Western Australia, Norfolk Island, Kangaroo Island and the Murray Princess.

I have travelled the world and Australia extensively. Countries visited include Mainland USA & Barbados, Canada, Peru, Argentina, South Africa, Mauritus, Morocco, Spain, Portugal, UK, Norway, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Bali, Philippines, New Zealand, Fiji and Vanuatu.

As a Travel Agent I have never stopped learning and pride myself in being a Premier Aussie Specialist, CLIA Cruise Master, Insight Vacations Student of the Year in 2007, Fiji Matai Specialist, 100% Pure New Zealand Silver Specialist and Princess Commodore.

“The World is your Oyster!” You definitely won’t be disappointed if you entrust me to organise your next dream holiday whether it be a weekend away, family holiday, Destination wedding, girls trip or world cruise.
