Mundulla made a pre-finals statement by comfortably beating fellow top five team Kingston in last Saturday’s KNTFL match of the round. After an even start, Mundulla pulled further away the longer the game went, to win 16.16 to 11.8. Gun goalkicker James Hinge was again in good touch with 5 goals and captain Nick Mosey was named best player, while Kingston’s young locals Ethan Murdock and Jack Harding were among the best for the seasiders. Mundulla’s win means the Tigers remain within reach of top spot on the ladder, while Kingston now has no hope of making the top 3 and will play in the first knockout elimination when finals arrive. Kybybolite continued its improved recent form with a thrilling win over Padthaway, despite a masterclass from ex-AFL goalkicker Daniel Menzel.
