Congratulations to Loma Wallis from Serviceton club who played in the winning Wimmera Bowls Region Team at Wycheproof last weekend. Loma and Judith Albrecht, from Dimboola, have been chosen in a Region team for Bowls Victoria Region Sides Championships to play in Ballarat January 13th and 14th 2024.

NEW Christmas lights, the Old Naracoorte Rd upgrade, Customs House restorations and around 20 new signs featuring “On Buganditj Country” are on the “to do” list for Robe District Council. Along with many other tasks, they make up a $1.66 million capital works program listed at the council’s November 8 meeting.

Midweek pennant Robe travelled to Naracoorte and made the trip worthwhile, winning by 3 shots. Naracoorte 42 shots 2 points were defeated by Robe 45-6. Robbie Dahler, Josh Waddell, Errol Jennings and David Robinson defeated Ron Garton’s team 27-19 and Jim Gray, Pam Robinson, Steve Farrell and Stephen Kennett were defeated by Robert Kirkland’s team 23-18.

Cricket report
Matches in the Millicent and Naracoorte Cricket Association were abandoned for wet weather for the second time in three weeks last Saturday. Consistent rain on Friday night and patchy weather on Saturday were enough to cause organisers to call off the round with no play possible.
